Let’s all cut the refs some slack!

A FEW weeks ago I decided to brave the cold weather to go and watch my local Non-League team, Aldershot United play against Braintree.
I must admit that due to work commitments I rarely find time to go to football matches but plenty of friends had recommended the match experience at Aldershot, so as I had a free Saturday afternoon I decided to head down to the ground. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed much of the game. The football was decent and the majority of people were very welcoming.
However the almost constant verbal abuse of match officials was sad to see.
