HOURS after taking Ashford United to the cusp of the play-offs, manager Gary Alexander got his marching orders by TEXT MESSAGE!
The ex-Millwall, Brentford and Leyton Orient striker discovered his fate while lying in bed at 10.20pm on Saturday having led his side to a 4-1 victory over Herne Bay in Bostik Division One South. Assistant manand ager John Mackie and physio Huseyin Torgut were also let go.
