GRANTHAM and Marine battled out a draw in very poor conditions at the Meres.
Grantham produced early pressure with a free kick going narrowly wide.
Marine saw two shots from distance go wide before Grantham took the lead on 16 minutes when Danny Durkin latched onto a loose ball to fire home.
Marine pressed for an equaliser with Danny Shaw heading over.
Grantham debutant Shaun Harrad saw his header saved by Marine keeper Pat Wharton.
