EVEN in atrocious conditions, Pontefract served up some of the best attacking football seen at the Moat for many seasons.
After taking the lead on six minutes from a Vaughan Redford penalty, the Colls took control and their second goal came on 25 minutes from a longrange Glyn Cooper shot which beat Oliver Fairbrother.
Five minutes before the break, a monsoon left the pitch with lots of standing water but the visitors continued to play their fast-passing game.
