BLUES BEAT ME TO MINHAS

SOME weeks back, my old friend and Salisbury FC manager Steve Claridge asked me to go and scout a young striker turning out for Ascot United in the Hellenic League by the name of Nathan Minhas. I duly went to a home game.
While Ascot lost 3-1, I saw enough to know that the 21- year-old, with his excellent first touch and eye for goal, could play much higher than Step 5. I recommended that Steve move quickly for him.
