Robins on the up thanks to Downes

CARSHALTON captain Paris Hamilton-Downes’ second-half goal sent Carshalton through.
A tight affair began with Dorking on the front foot but keeper Patrick Ohman denied Lewis Taylor in the third minute.
The home side hadn’t created any chances by 26 minutes and James McShane almost made them pay, but hit the post from a tight angle.
Ohman was at it again three minutes later as he palmed away a Jason Prior effort from 10 yards.
Carshalton weathered the storm and almost scored just after the break, but Wands keeper Slav Huk blocked a stabbed effort by Tommy Brad...
