OLLIE Mehew scored a second-half equaliser but he could not stop Yate Town dropping points in a 1-1 draw at home to Thatcham Town.
After Yate had an effort ruled out for offside, Shane Cooper-Clark broke the deadlock as he picked up the ball just inside the box at the other end and turned well before looping a deflected shot over the outstretched hand of Ross Grimshaw.
Mehew levelled on the hour, when a pinpoint pass into the goalmouth from Josh Ford set him up for a volley past Chris Rackley into the far corner.
