SCOTT Boden enjoyed a dream debut as Chesterfield climbed out of the National League relegation zone with the narrowest of victories over FC Halifax Town.
The striker, signed from Gateshead last week, won and converted a second half penalty to continue his remarkable record against his former employers.
Boden’s fifth goal in six encounters against the Shaymen turned out to be the only goal of the game, although the visitors should have snatched a point through Scott Quigley’s header which was fired wide.
