ASHTON United shocked out-of-form leaders Chorley and gave their own survival hopes a tremendous boost with a gutsy display.
The Magpies’ third defeat in four games is hardly the stuff of potential champions and their laboured secondhalf performance here does not augur well for boss Jamie Vermiglio.
In contrast, the Robins moved to within three points of safety at the other end of the table as they were the only winners among the bottom six yesterday.
