IT WAS another wasted opportunity for Billy Heath’s Avenue, who conceded late on after a dominant display.
Visitors Alfreton had the game’s first chance with Declan Bacon putting the ball into the net, lacing home from close range after Josh Wilde slid a pass across the box, but the linesman deemed the ball to have gone out of play.
Bacon had another chance moments later, latching onto a ball over the top with a well-timed run, only to see his oneon- one effort pushed away by Charlie Andrew.
