RUSHALL Olympic’s sixgame unbeaten run came to an end after a controversial decision led to the only goal of the game. Orrin Pendley made a seemingly good tackle on the visitors’ Joe Marsden but the referee awarded a free-kick which Jamie Griffiths stroked home five minutes before the break.
There was an early flurry of corners for both sides and on nine minutes visiting keeper Jake Jessup made a terrific save to keep out Danny O’Callaghan’s first-time volley.
