PHIL PARKINSON’S Altrincham had the edge on title challengers Chorley, in an eight-goal thriller.
A 20-yard free-kick from Shaun Densmore was the pick of Alty’s five, that gave the freescoring Robins further daylight in their push for the play-offs. A tame first half saw the hosts take the lead in the ninth minute through Jordan Hulme, his trickery in the box beating three defenders, before smashing the ball home. Alty should’ve been two clear on 32 minutes, but John Johnston failed to turn in Yousifu Ceesay’s low cross.
