Striker jailed for attack on girl

GUISELEY have terminated the contract of striker Reece Thompson after he was jailed for 40 months and received a ten-year restraining order for attacking a woman.
The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to damaging property, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and inflicting grievous bodily harm when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on April 3.
Thompson beat a woman with an iron bar, forced her to eat paint and smashed two mirrors over her head. The victim’s jaw was broken, she suffered severe bruising on her body and her face was blackened during the ...
