NEWLY-promoted Weymouth got life in the National League South off to a perfect start with a deserved victory at promotion hopefuls Maidstone United thanks to two goals from Ben Thomson.
The Stones endured a miserable relegation season but have seen their squad overhauled this summer with only Justin Amaluzor, who put them ahead in the second half, remaining from the side that finished bottom of the National League.
