J ust before the tournament star ts the panic sets in. We’re into our seventh week of pre-season yet all of a sudden we’re thrust into a series of fitness tests just 48 hours before the first match. We’re made to run the bronco test – essentially a 1.2km sprint – take part in possession drills and finish off with thirty competitive sprints. It lasts almost three hours.
