NEW-LOOK Grantham got off to a winning start with a dramatic win over FC United of Manchester Grantham took the lead on seven minutes.
Craig Westcarr cut in from the left and steadied himself before slipping the ball past Wharton in the United goal. United controlled much of the rest of the half. Rodney got in behind the Grantham defence on 10 minutes but Nicholson saved.
United equalised on 18 minutes when the ball came back off the post and when it was played back in Rodney netted.
A quality strike from Linney into the far corner of the net on 26 minutes gave United the lead ...
