DANNY DAFTER quit Aveley with an unenviable, if not unique record, still in tact – without losing a league game in charge!
Dafter and assistant Gary Haywood joined the club with five games left of last season and won every game, taking Aveley up to second spot in Bostik North and into the play-offs, before falling short in their semi-final against Heybridge Swifts.
They started this season with a 2-2 draw away at Dereham and a 0-0 draw at home to Hullbridge but now both Dafter and Haywood have relinquished their positions.
