MARGATE battled to their first victory of the season with a solid win against bottom of the table Lewes at Hartsdown Park.
Kudus Oyenuga, a hat-trick hero at Kingstonian seven days earlier, opened the scoring on 32 minutes. And Kadell Daniel’s late strike sealed the victory.
The scorers were Gate’s biggest early threat.
Oyenuga’s fifth-minute shot was saved by Rooks keeper Nathan Stroomberg while Daniel’s mazy runs led to two shooting opportunities.
