With early-season leaders Loughborough University on FA Cup duty, promotion-seeking Rugby took full advantage and went ahead on the half hour with a low shot from Charlie Evans.
Deon Meikle levelled for Quorn against the run of play, but second- placed Rugby took the lead when Kieran Fitzgerald found the back of the net with a low shot.
