BASFORD took all three points in a tight and well-fought victory over Radcliffe Borough FC.
A Matt Thornhill goal was enough to win the game. The big central midfielder headed home with 17 minutes remaining following a poorly dealt with corner.
Radcliffe had to play almost a third of the game with ten men after Scott Metcalfe picked up a second yellow card in two minutes after two poor tackles.
