IIS THERE too much football played too soon? It’s a debate that seems to crop up at the start of every season.
The National League campaign kicked off on Saturday, August 3 – a month later the teams played their ninth game.
It’s been a relentless schedule of Saturday-Tuesday football with a Bank Holiday thrown in for good measure.
Notts County boss Neal Ardley was even joking on Tuesday night that it feels as if the season is already three months old.
