COLNE MAKE HEAVY GOING IN THE RAIN

COLNE set out on the FA Trophy trail with a narrow victory against 10-man Marske.
The visitors got off to the worst possible start when they had Callum Martin sent off for a bad tackle after only three minutes.
Colne took full advantage of the numerical superiority when Aidan Chippendale’s cross stretched the Marske defence and Will Harris finished with a well-struck shot after 27 minutes.
After 53 minutes Matty Makinson pulled the ball back for Connor Hughes to knock home from close range and double Colne’s lead.
