NOTTS COUNTY rewarded their bumper crowd with a hard-earned victory without having sufficient style for the liking of manager Neal Ardley.
The Magpies, cheered on by more than 9,000 fans taking advantage of cut-price tickets, won with a goal in each half from striker Wes Thomas and outstanding defender Damien McCrory but were made to defend for long periods by a slick AFC Fylde.
