Don’t let the racist minority win

THE alleged abuse at Hartlepool last weekend is a sad reminder to us all that racism hasn’t been completely stamped out of English football.
It’s 2019 and most of us take for granted that we should treat all of our fellow human beings with respect.
Most of us are proud that the UK is a multicultural, welcoming place.
Sadly, not everyone feels that way.
These hateful views are not shared by the overwhelming majority of football fans, but it’s depressing that the words that will linger longest in the memory are from some thug in the stands.
