ASHTON finally achieved their first home win of the season with a convincing victory against fellow strugglers Gainsborough. In the first two minutes Joe Maguire was felled by Josh Wilson’s overlapping cross and needed to be replaced by Sam Toppcis.
Halfway through the half Jordan Slew’s cross won a corner off Brandon Horton and Nicky Clee’s delivery was helped past the far post by Josh Wilson from a free header.
