Blyth Spartans warn fans they face sanctions if they invade pitch again

are warning fans that they face being sanctioned if another supporter runs on to the pitch when they host title-chasing on Saturday.
Spartans have told supporters they could face penalties if there is a repeat of a pitch incursion at Croft Park that occurred during last weekend's 1-0 North win at .
The incident happened soon after Blyth scored their winner, Levi Amantchi netting with around 15 minutes to go to earn Lee Clark's side only their second league victory of the season.
The Spartans statement reads: “The club have received a notification from the FA, following a report by the match referee in relation to a pitch incursion by a Blyth supporter following our goal at Curzon Ashton.
“Whilst no action has been taken on this occasion, as the incursion was brief and non-threatening, we have been warned that penalties may occur should this happen again in the future.
“Please can we remind all supporters that under no circumstances should they enter the field of play. Thank you.”
Former Newcastle United favourite Clark succeeded Alun Armstrong in June. He ended a successful three-year reign to join North East neighbours and rivals after guiding Spartans to a sixth-placed finish.
