DANNY Rowe hit a first-half hat-trick as Oxford City stormed to victory at Chelmsford in an action-packed match.
Chelmsford took the lead on eight minutes through in-form striker Sam Higgins, tapping home from Billy Knott’s cross.
Oxford were level in somewhat controversial circumstances on 22 minutes through Rowe, finishing from close range. Kyran Lofthouse was initially flagged for offside, but the referee overruled the decision, allowing the winger to get a cross in for Rowe to finish.
