Beavers dig deep to thwart Saints

AN ENTERTAINING clash ended with the points being shared between St Albans City and ten-man Hampton & Richmond Borough at Clarence Park.
It was the visiting Beavers who started the game the brighter of the two sides and they were denied an opener by Dean Snedker, who did well to tip Ryan Hill’s low drive wide of the post.
As the half developed, the bottom of the table hosts grew in confi- dence and they took the lead from the penalty spot on 40 minutes following a foul by Charlie Wassmer.
