AND THEN there was one. Hartlepool United had us all dreaming of an FA Cup upset yesterday as they led Oxford United at half-time through Liam Kitching’s early strike. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be as the League One side – who recently entertained Manchester City in the League Cup – came back and showed their class to ease into the fourth round with a 4-1 win.
Now, Non-League’s FA Cup attention turns to AFC Fylde, who take on Premier League Sheffield United today. Can Jim Bentley’s Coasters pull off a shock?
