SHELDON’S GREEN LIGHT GIVES BRIG GO-AHEAD

SHELDON GREEN’S 82nd-minute strike gave Bamber Bridge victory over Buxton at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.
The hosts took a fifth-minute lead when Rowan Roache’s low ball across the face of goal was tapped home by Richie Allen.
Nico De Girolamo headed home on the stroke of half-time for the visitors, before Green’s finish sealed the points for Jamie Milligan’s men.
Brig opened the scoring with the first attack of the match, before Brig keeper Danny Roccia did well to get in the way of Diego De Girolamo’s effort when oneon- one on 22 minutes.
