ST ALBANS and Oxford City played out a scoreless draw in Hertfordshire.
The contest’s best chance fell to Joe Iaciofano after ten minutes when the Saints sharp-shooter fi red a strike on to the crossbar after a being teed up by Zane Banton.
That opening, which came amid enjoyable early passages of play with both sides apparently shrugging off the poor weather conditions, augured towards an entertaining contest. But the game degenerated, despite the players’ battling efforts, as the rain lashed Clarence Park.
