MATT FINISH ADDS GLOSS

HUNGERFORD picked up a vital three points at Bulpit Lane, beating fellow strugglers Braintree Town thanks to goals by Joe Tomlinson and Matt Jones. Hungerford got off to the perfect start scoring with their first shot of the game inside five minutes. A long throw-in by James Rusby was poked home by the late run of captain Tomlinson. A cross-shot by Matt Jones then hit a post, having evaded striker Liam Ferdinand, who was appealing for a penalty. Braintree dominated the ball for the first 45 but only mustered up a handful of shots.
