FA: ‘NO EXTENSION’

THE Western League have had a request for an extension to the season turned down by the Football League.
The west has been worst hit by Storms Ciara, Dennis and, last weekend, Jorge, thus causing a large number of fixtures at Steps 5 and 6 to be postponed.
A request was made to extend the season beyond April 25 but Football Association chiefs have now ruled that out.
A tweet confirmed: “On 25th February the league asked the FA for an extension to the season due to the consistent bad weather.
