STEVENS WALKING AT WELLY

FORMER Cardiff City, Shrewsbury Town and Hereford United striker Gary Stevens is to quit as manager of Hellenic Division One West outfit Wellington after three seasons in the hotseat.
Stevens, 65, was spotted by Cardiff while playing for Evesham United in 1978, and also later joined Brentford. He had a spell as player-coach at Mid-Wales League side Knighton Town and later became a college tutor while working part-time for the Herefordshire FA.
