TRIBUTES: Steve Preston

CHAIRMAN Justin Hodgin has led the tributes following the death of Walsall Wood’s fearless fundraiser Steve Preston. Preston had helped many Midlands clubs while following the career of son-in-law, striker and ex-Wood manager Gary Birch.
Birch resigned in September 2018 due to his work commitments as groundsman at Solihull Moors but Preston remained on board prior to his sudden passing on Monday.
