SHORTY’S IN FOR THE LONG HAUL

FORMER Hanley Town striker and manager Sean ‘Shorty’ Hancock is running the distance from the Potteries to Berlin to raise money for the North West Counties Premier club.
Hancock, 30, is being sponsored to run ten kilometres every day until August 16, the planned beginning of next season - making an overall distance of 1,020km.
He set up a gofundme.com page in order to help the club through the Covid-19 lockdown - and met his £1,000 target within 48 hours. As The NLP went to press, nearly £1,500 had been raised.
