I CAN appreciate that clubs will put forward their points of view concerning promotion/ relegation/play-offs to best support their personal ambitions but surely there comes a point where blatant self-interest defies logic and fairness.
Last week (NLP, May 17), Yeovil Town’s co-owner Scott Priestnall seemingly accepted that the National League should follow the EFL in terms of promotion and relegation.
He stated that the points-per-game system proposed is unfair and that National League leaders Barrow should participate in any playoff scenario mrather than take the automatic promotion ...
