BILLINGHAM Town are in the money after being handed more than £33,000 in triple grant aid. The Northern League Division One club have been handed £26,468 by the Suez Community Trust to fund repairs to the damaged floodlights at Bedford Terrace. Sponsors Utility Alliance have also donated £2,000 towards the floodlight renovation.
Furthermore, the Sport England Community Emergency Fund have now approved an application for assistance to the club to pay bills and pitch maintenance due to the current lack of revenue.
This has brought the Billy Town club an extra £4,788.
