Chris’s got it right

I HAVE recently started buying The Non-League Paper and was delighted again to see a feature on a player who made it throught the ranks to play in an England World Cup team, Chris Waddle (NLP, May 17).
I agree with Chris that the top end of the Non-League game would be helped by becoming region- alised. I think the point he made about the amount of travelling involved for clubs now is unfair and expensive.
I also really enjoyed Barry Lenton’s letter in the same week about his adventures following Marine.
I particular liked reading about them played against a crew of a Ukrainian Car...
