LEARNING of the recent arson attack at New Bellshill Athletic FC, of the West of Scotland League, Bridlington Town AFC chairman Peter Smurthwaite offered his opposite number, Brian Closs, the club’s former clubhouse to replace the one that was so sadly destroyed. This offer was gratefully accepted and this week the buildings were transported over north the border to North Lanarkshire.
Bridlington Town itself is having a brand new clubhouse constructed at its Queensgate ground, together with other major improvements and annual pitch maintenance ready for the new season.
