Ground disrepair is being exposed

THE reintroduction of fans into Non-League football matches, using new social distancing rules, will sadly expose the inadequate facilities in too many Non-League grounds these days. A lack of cover, raised terracing and seating is common place when watching clubs at Steps 3-4.
During the coming winter months, Covid-19 stewards will have to enforce socially distancing spectators to stand in the rain, or stand apart on one-level paths with poor views as the low number of seats fill up.
