■EYNESBURY ROVERS warmed up for the season with an emphatic midweek FA Cup extra preliminary round victory over Desborough Town. James Hatch led the way with a hattrick in the 7-3 thriller although Jordan Brown also impressed with four assists and a goal of his own. Craig Daniel bagged a brace – one from the penalty spot – before substitute Kelvin Osei- Addo wrapped things up.
Harefield United also enjoyed the start of their FA Cup campaign with a resounding 5-2 win at Gloucestershire side Tuffl ey Rovers.
