TAUNTON TOWN progressed to the third round qualifying in a pulsating game.
Tiverton opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Dan Hayfield beat Lloyd Irish at his near post. Taunton replied in the 26th minute with a rasping strike from Dan Sullivan.
Taunton went ahead in the 32th minute thanks to Toby Holmes’ tap in.
Gethyn Hill then put the away side 3-1 up. Ex-Tivvy player Jamie Short rubbed salt into Tivvy wounds with a fourth just before half time.
