Jake Pitty, Alex Hernandez and Adebola Sotoyinbo all scored after the break to secure the points for Rovers.
Romford went closest first when Lee Newton just failed to connect with a low driven ball across the box.
Jake Gordon’s strike hit the inside of a post and rebounded along the goalline before being cleared for the hosts.
