■ THOMAS OPOKU’S second-half strike was enough to earn Welwyn Garden City all three points away to Thame United at Meadow Venue Park.
Opoku’s effort from a deflected shot inside the Thame box found its way into the back of the net. The goal after 67 minutes proved to be the difference between these two teams. The game itself was played in heavy rain and made conditions hard to play in for both sides without many opportunities created. Welwyn ended the match with 10 men late on after an injury was sustained to David Keenleyside.
