WIBERFORCE OCRAN’S second-half goal earned Brentwood a point after Dan Humphreys had put the Gulls ahead just before half-time.
The best chances in the first half had fallen to Canvey’s Jamie Salmon and Blues’ Rob Harvey, who shot wide after a neat buildup, before Humphreys headed in for the visitors from close range at the far post in the 44th minute.
Ocran converted Harvey’s low cross in the 62nd minute and Brentwood soon had chances to go in front when Sam Bantick and Andy Freeman both got clear of the Canvey defence.
