THE scoreline certainly flattered the visitors as the Waders took the game by the scruff of the neck from the first minute.
Scott Davies makes a habit of hitting the bar with his freekicks from 30 yards and yesterday was no exception as his effort went close to breaking the deadlock. James Peters then had a couple of efforts go wide while Joe Neal also tried his luck.
Alvechurch took the lead against the run of play in the 16th minute when Kyle Macfarlane’s effort wrong-footed the home goalkeeper and trickled its way in.
