WAS pleased to read the common sense views of Val Harrison in your last edition (Fans’ Forum, October 18).
With Non-League football going through such trying times, I have to agree that most people who follow their teams and are able to enjoy the thrill of seeing a familiar face – and all the wonder and excitement that goes along with this on a match day – will be disappointed with the reaction of the Premier League in particular.
Grass roots football is so important in this country and there are still many footballers who have been nurtured in the lower leagues.
