JORDAN Thewlis scored to early goal as Boston United registered their second away win of the season with victory at Southport.
Thewlis netted the only goal on 14 minutes, working his way into the area before sending a low shot past the dive of keeper Dan Hanford and into the bottom left-hand corner.
It enabled the visitors to manage the game on their own terms, with captain Luke Shiels outstanding in a well-drilled defensive performance.
