STEP 5 & 6 SIDES MAY SAVE CHEER FOR XMAS!

A CHRISTMAS restart is now on the cards for many Step 5 and 6 clubs after new post-lockdown Covid-19 restrictions barred fans from their games.

While clubs will be permitted to resume playing after the ending of the second lockdown after midnight on Wednesday, those placed in the Government’s expanded Tier 3 areas will be barred from admitting spectators.
With the prospect of clubs facing financial meltdown with vital income streams cut off, several leagues have therefore postponed their planned recommencement dates of between December 5 and 12 until later in...
